Nicolas Fonseca is a key player on Daily tous les jours’ concept team. He is a writer, director and producer for film and interactive experiences.
After a bachelor’s degree in communication studies at Concordia University, he worked in public relations in both the public and private sectors. In 2001 he joined Locomotion to begin working in the film industry. For Locomotion Films, he produced several short films, documentaries as well as directing Bien Mélanger and developing MadeinMTL.com. This last project went on to win 28 prizes, of which a Cyber Lion at Cannes and Best of Show at SXSW. Other web based projects followed as a freelancer, such as Ekimondo, Müvmedia and Artfox.
More recently, he was content director on the transmedia project Les Enfants de La Bolduc. Recently, he has concieved two food installations, Food Bingo for the SAT and the Sugar Shack for Auberge du Savoir. He also collaborated on Kit Opérette with Daily tous les jours, commissioned by the Musée de la Gaïté Lyrique in Paris. Traditional film projects such as Higglety Pigglety Pop!, Les Signes Vitaux and Avant l'aube have also been part of his creative and production practice.
