On may 4th, we opened our doors during Design Montréal Open House, an event organised by the Montreal Bureau of Design. This big happening is all about discovering where the ideas are born by opening up Montreal finest design studios to everyone. For the occasion, we’ve treated our visitors with a with all sorts of activities and workshops.

We held the first ever “If Yes Then What” programming workshop focused entirely on getting the love of your life to say “I do”. This initiation to the mastery of code left a great amount of love in on our studio’s wall. Have a look at the results on the TumblR page created for the occasion.

We’ve also entertained and instructed big ones and young ones to the technological world of the interactive littleBits. Everyone, from 4 years old to grandpas enjoyed making and sketching creations. Some of the stuff made that day was also posted on the littleBits site. And for Montrealers who left without a kit, we still have a few for sales at the office. Write us on hello@dailytlj.com if you are interested.

“Last week I ate” was another surprise! With his strange servings, Mister Jaune treated us to a deconstructed but amazingly delicious meal. In that activity, people were invited to use food to reinterpret different moments of Mister Jaune’s previous week. Each menu suggestions were affixed on our wall, leaving us a collection of weird menus suggestions for any situation.

Overall the event was a real success; over 430 people came to visit the place where we make everything happen. They showed us how much they appreciate our work, and encouraged us to pursue our quest to deliver more cooperative and participative installations.

Thanks to everyone who dropped by, to the design Montreal team for making this happen. And a very special thanks to our friends @nicofonsy, Jonathan Nesci and Yako for helping us welcome our visitors all day.
