Winner at 2013 Interaction Awards – UPDATE

by Eva

Hello all, we are in Toronto this week to attend the 2013 Interaction Awards and we are excited to announce that our project 21 Balançoires (21 Swings) was awarded BEST IN SHOW! It’s a tremendous honor and we’d like to thank everyone who made this possible, including Montreal’s own Quartier des Spectacles. To simply be in the category that describes itself as capturing attention, creating delight and delivering meaning was a thrill for us. You can see the jury’s comments on the project here, and a couple of our favorite ones below.
Hourra!

“It was so delightful, so engaging, playful and whimsical, says a lot about our place in society, our place in community, the way in which we can be isolated in our city while surrounded by people and the role of interaction design in bringing people together an connecting them in ways they would otherwise not have imagined.”
– Steve Baty, IxDA president

“21 Balançoires represents something that we’d like to see more, that we’d like to encourage.”
– Marc Rettig, IxDA Awards 2013 jury chair
